Opus Ithaca School of Music is presenting our 7th Annual Concert for the Community: "Story and Song" on Sunday March 16th at 4:00PM in the beautiful St. Paul’s sanctuary. Don’t miss this unique one-hour long program!
Opus has assembled an incredible ensemble of professional musicians who will perform Samuel Barber's “Knoxville: Summer of 1915” (featuring soprano Meagan Miller) and the Overture to Mozart's Marriage of Figaro under the baton of the Cayuga Chamber Orchestra's new Music Director Guillaume Pirard. The concert will also feature Valerie Coleman's wind quintet "Umoja" Steven Paulus' “The Road Home” (with Opus' Odyssey Choir) and some jazz standards (with the Opus Jazz Quintet).
We will present this as a gift to the community – the concert is free for all who wish to attend. It is going to be quite special – with a variety of music that will uplift us and bring our community together.
