A Holiday Literacy Event by Kingdom Culture
THE WHY
In a county where 57% of children read below grade level, Stories Under the Stars is our chance to change the narrative. This event allows us to revive families through shared reading moments, restore hope through the story of Jesus, and rebuild our city by nurturing a generation of confident, creative readers.
We’re not just giving toys this Christmas; we’re giving the gift of literacy, the warmth of prayer, and the light to our community. The night will feature storytelling, family fellowship, and opportunities for attendees to hear the Greatest Story Ever Told — the Light of the World.
THE WHAT
Stories Under the Stars will transform our campus into a festive, storybook experience celebrating imagination, family, and faith.
✨ Event Highlights:
- Story Circles: Community leaders, poets, and pastors reading inspiring stories, including The Greatest Christmas Story
- Personalized Gifts: Every pre-registered child receives two age-appropriate books and a pair of cozy pajamas.
- The Giving Tree: Families can “adopt a book ornament” to pledge literacy support for another child in need.
- Photo Booth: “Winter Wonderland”–themed photo station with lights, backdrops, and décor.
- Hot Cocoa & Cookies Bar: Complimentary holiday treats for all guests.
- Prayer & Outreach: Volunteers available for prayer, conversation, and personal invitations to faith.
