?Stories of Our Well-Being?Courage, Dear Heart - a festival celebrating our well-being journeys, dovetailing with Mental Health Awareness Week 2024.
Come and join us in our fourth event to hear diverse speakers share their well-being journeys, through storytelling, creativity, and song. Our well-being journey-ers range in gender, ethnicity and age 20's through to 85 years young.
Content information/warning - some of the stories may include themes around trauma, suicide and abuse. We recommend age 16+ and parental guidance for younger teens.
Afterwards, you are invited to join us for local Kereru ginger beer, hot chip butties and the opportunity to talk to our speakers, healing practitioners and other attendees.
Speakers and storytellors include Taza Manaza, Justine Rose Kingdon, Lace Reihana, Helen Dew and more!

Courage, Dear Heart began in response to Mental Health Awareness Week last year. We like the words ‘Courage, Dear Heart’ and ‘Well-Being’ as they feel holistic and inclusive and help reduce the stigma often associated with mental health journeys.
Here are the details of our four Courage, Dear Heart Festival 2024 events - come and join us, we look forward to seeing you!
?Mad Hatter's Tea Party in Narnia-Featherston
•Thursday, Sept 26, 4.30pm Kiwi Hall (back of Anzac Hall)
•Fun, lashings of hot chocolate, banner making, Starjam Dance performances and more!

?Community Celebration Concert
•Friday, Sept 27, 7:30pm, Anzac Hall
•Music, dance and creativity - Lace Reihana, Taza Manaza, Cantaloop, Featherston Wahine Singers, Tangle Community Dance, Djembe Drumming and more! Celebrating our well-being journeys.
•Love to dance? After the concert, we will have an hour of dancing for those who would like to stay for a good boogie. We have an awesome Featherston DJ!
