About this Event
Charlotte Forten, William Monroe Trotter, Josephine St. Pierrre Ruffin and William Clarence Matthews are not well known names in Boston area history. But their influence helped to shape our local community and the country in the pivotal decades of the late 19th and 20th centuries. Stories of Hope, Acts of Faith is an original production created by the North Andover Celebrates African American History Committee that brings these heroes to life to tell their stories. The Higher Praise Gospel Choir enhances the production with music that will move the narration, and get the audience on their feet.
This program is supported in part by a grant from Mass Humanities, which receives support from the Massachusetts Cultural Council and is an affiliate of the National Endowment for the Humanities.
