Three First Nations performers reflect on connection, Country and resistance in a night of poetry, music and storytelling. For this special Spring Fling event, writer and performer Laniyuk, award-winning novelist and musician Nardi Simpson (The Belburd) and poet and artist Jazz Money (mark the dawn) will each take to The Wheeler Centre stage for a special live performance of their work.
Then, these powerhouse creatives will discuss their creative practices and the ways in which they are influenced by the natural world. They’ll also interrogate how poetry, song and prose can represent and convey First Nations sovereignty in Australia.
Discover the wild abandon to be found in creativity at this vibrant, powerful celebration of First Nations storytelling, hosted by Evelyn Araluen.
