About this Event
Join us, CARU (Community Arts Responder Unit), this Winter Solstice at Redcar Cemetery. for an afternoon of remembrance and celebration. The people of Redcar and Cleveland have been working hard to tell the stories of Redcar's most courageous and celebrated residents. Working with local writer Carmen Marcus, and Friends of Redcar Cemetery the group have created poetry and stories which will be performed in the twilight of the shortest day of 2024. We extend a warm welcome to all to come and listen to tales of courage, bravery, love and loss. Every audience member will receive a warming welcome pack and be invited to join in our celebration of the people who have shaped Redcar's history. We will look back with pride and forward with hope as the year turns and light returns.
