In this hands-on sculpture class, students will explore storytelling through texture, shape, and personal meaning. Each participant will create an 8×10″ relief sculpture by pressing handprints and meaningful objects, like charms, small toys, nature finds, or keepsakes, into soft clay. Once their design is complete, they’ll learn how to cast their impression in plaster, turning it into a lasting work of art. Along the way, students will explore composition and surface texture while discovering how sculpture can be a powerful way to share a personal story. Everyone will leave with a one-of-a-kind keepsake to take home and treasure. Ages 3rd - 5th Grade.
