About this Event
Stories from the Heart: Remembering Our Loved Ones Through Writing
Terri Schexnayder has been a volunteer with The Christi Center grief support nonprofit in Austin for more than 35 years. Her "Second Stage" writing sessions for the Center eventually launched grief support retreats around the Hill Country. She encourages all who come to write about the special memories of their loved ones who died under any circumstances.
A published author and creative writing teaching artist, Terri will lead two writing exercises using poetry prompts. You do not have to be a writer--just willing to share your feelings and memories on paper. Attendees are encouraged to bring several photos of their loved ones, along with a journal and writing instrument.
Class is limited to 15 attendees.
