Celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month during this unique and interactive storytelling presentation that incorporates oral traditions of Hispanic culture designed to express community, culture, history and traditions. Oral traditions, such as storytelling, are an integral part of Hispanic culture and are intended to share the history that extend beyond an immediate family, but encompass the culture that is passed down from one generation to the next.This one-of-a-kind program is presented by Yvonne Montoya, innovative Choreographer and Director of Tucson, AZ’s Safos Dance Company, an interactive event where audience members are invited to share their own unique stories with their friends and neighbors. Yvonne will explore traditional themes of community, home and history based on stories she used in her choreographed show “Stories from Home.”
