About this Event
Every third Saturday of the month, TMORA hosts a free family activity in the Robert J. Brokop Gallery. Join us to hear a story by a Russian author and/or related to art and culture of the region, learn about artworks, and create a take-home art project of your own. Afterwards, explore the museum with an interactive gallery hunt. Advance registration is requested.

Featured Book: Babushka Baba Yaga by Patricia Polacco. Baba Yaga is usually known as a fearsome character in Russian folklore who kidnaps children and lives deep in the forest in a house on chicken legs– but in this story, she’s actually just a lonely old woman who longs for a grandchild to love! Get excited for our upcoming The World of Russian Fairy Tales exhibition with this tender new take on an old favorite.
