Featured Book: The Flying Witch by Jane Yolen, illustrated by Vladimir Vagin This month we’ll visit again with Baba Yaga, one of the most famous and fascinating characters of Russian folklore. Beloved children’s literature author Jane Yolen set out to write a Baba Yaga tale that would be appropriate for young children, and after scouring hundreds of folktales, this is the result: a clever, original story with a spunky heroine and a surprising ending. Join us to hear about one little girl’s encounter with the famously scary Baba Yaga!
