Tom Dahlborg shares strategies and solutions to end bullying.
About this Event

Named a Mental Health Champion by Authority Magazine, Tom Dahlborg is an internationally recognized speaker and writer focusing on leading with love, courageous vulnerability, systems thinking and improvement, stopping bullying, amplifying positive childhood experiences, and bringing “love in action” to all we do.

Tom is the former Parent Partnership program leader for the National Institute for Children’s Health Quality (NICHQ).

And more recently he and his team led the Michigan statewide implementation efforts of the Collaborative Care Model for Adolescents to improve access to mental health services.

Tom is the founder of TBKID Youth Sports Programs - ensuring inclusion and belonging, promoting positive, life-changing social & emotional skills, and fun and play.

And he was also an advisor to an island nation health system seeking to address child abuse and improve child and family patient experience.

Tom’s multiple award-winning book, The Big Kid and Basketball … and the lessons he taught his Father and Coach, focusing on bullying and ACES and PCES, has led to significant youth sport and school system improvements and improved child experience and well-being.

He is a contributing author of the #1 Children’s Stop Bullying book, Brave Kids: Short Stories to Inspire Our Future World-Changers.

Tom is a child advocate and a voice for stopping bullying and amplifying positive childhood experiences for all children. He is a parent and former athlete who became a coach to help children and communities.

At the end of the day he truly believes love is the force multiplier.

Tom Dahlborg will be speaking at the Wesley Abbey Building of First United Methodist Church on Monday, October 28, from 6:00 - 7:30 p.m. Wesley Abbey is the white building on the corner of Wright and Palafox.

In his talk you will learn:

  • What works to stop bullying
  • What does not work to stop bullying
  • Practical actions we can each take today to stop bullying at home and in the community
