ANNOUNCING THE RETURN OF COVER ME BADD'S SELF-TITLED DEBUT MASTERPIECE SERIES. 14 years after .38 Specials Education's legendary Specials performance, Cover Me Badd presents not one but TWO incredible full album anniversary performances at the world's greatest record store, Vinyl Junkies Record Shack!
First up, Stones n' Roses will perform the 1989 self-titled Stone Roses album for the very first time on Saturday, April 27th. The band is already busy preparing several never-before played songs just for this special 35th anniversary performance. Per usual, the tunes will be mixed & medley'd with tons of Vinyl Junkies favorites. Some epic out of town shows fell through so this could be a one-time staging! At press time, it is the only full album performance of the album this year anywhere in North America or Antarctica.
Next, Geezer brings back their infamous Blue Album show for the first time in five years for the record's 30th anniversary on Saturday May 18th. While a recent Geezer Blue show started off with a bang when Krampus himself joined the band to sing "My Name Is Krampus", it was sadly cut short when an adorable middle-school Christmas recital went long. The elderly band that started just to play this record will be announcing several other California performances of Le Bleu shortly. Unsurprisingly, Weezer announced a Blue Album tour in tribute to us, including a San Diego festival appearance the day after the record's exact birthday. Flattered.
Both Vinyl Junkies shows will be all-ages and start at 4pm for FREE at 2235 Fern Street in the scenic South Park borough of San Diego.
