Year 4 of floating, eating, camping at Stone Mountain. This is and event for the folks that like it slow and lazy lol. Great views with an easy paddle, unless the wind blows lol. We'll meet at the boat ramp at 10ish, and float the lake until whenever. After the float, go enjoy the park. We have a potluck dinner Saturday night. PFDs are mandatory, sunscreen is recommended. Camping is optional if you just want to float.
there is an entrance fee to the park. last year it was 20 monies. if you are camping you still have to pay that on top of the camping fees, but you only pay the entrance fee on day one. Reserve your campsite early.
Kim and I usually stay Friday through Monday. There are hotels on site if camping isn't your thing. Stone Mountain does rent kayaks.
