Friday, May 3 2024 at 8pm, Stone Mendez, Sophia Corrine, and Morphia Slow share the evening, a full night of acoustic music from three singer songwriters on guitar, vocals, perhaps more!Morphia Slow is a lyricist and visual artist living in Phoenix, Arizona. Her songs conflate unrequited love with sadomasochism, find identity in the crevices of mountains, and reveal the tender capabilities of an unreliable narrator. She jokingly refers to her genre as "folk-murder-pop."
Stone Mendez, a singer/songwriter from Nebraska, brings a raw and heartfelt approach to his music. With minimal formal training, Stone is a self-taught musician who discovered his passion for songwriting and acoustic guitar early in his adult life. His captivating melodies and introspective lyrics create a blend of Americana and Indie sound. His music captures the essence of everyday struggles, triumphs, and the beauty found within the mundane. Driven by his passion for music, Stone is currently working on a series of upcoming singles. Each release promises to showcase his talent and artistic growth further, inviting listeners to join him on a musical journey that is both sincere and thought-provoking.
Sophia Corinne harvests poetry for the lines of each song from her life, one lived paying attention. Her songs are witness to the raw difficulties and layered radiant joys that every heart bears. In both writing and voice, Sophia’s songs offer the companionship of something beautiful for us to hold close in any season. Since 2021 she has released multiple EPs and toured extensively across North America. She is currently based in Asheville NC.
