Mexican artist Fernando Aceves Humana, paints as he travels, capturing landscapes, portraits, and everyday scenes across Southeast Asia with a portable studio that allows him to work directly from life. In addition to the paintings, the exhibition includes a selection of lithographs from Stone and Image, created by master artists at La Buena Impresión. These works highlight the evolution of traditional printmaking and reflect the close connection
between the Mexican workshop and its sister studio, Char RUFA, in Cambodia.
Short Biography:
Born in Mexico City in 1969, Fernando Aceves Humana studied at the National Autonomous University of Mexico and trained in engraving at the School of Fine Arts in Rome. His work has been exhibited internationally, and he has received major artistic
grants and awards, including the French Artistic Excellence Scholarship and first prize at the Sarcelles International Engraving Biennial. He is co-founder of the Char RUFA printmaking workshop.
