Celebrate a century of swing at a night inspired by the legendary Savoy Ballroom!The Savoy opened its doors on the 12th March 1926 in Harlem, New York. Launching the Lindy Hop, igniting swing music, and welcoming people of all backgrounds onto the dance floor.
Daybus Jazz Orchestra, featuring Tāmaki Makaurau’s finest musicians will be playing the music of Duke Ellington, Count Basie and other legendary swing bands.
The night will include a high-energy dance contest worthy of the Savoy spirit so get ready to SWING OUT!
Whether you’re a seasoned lindy hopper or just love great music, join us to celebrate 100 years of rhythm, swing, and foot pattin' tunes.
