Get ready for a revamped STOMP – Shining Light on Epilepsy and SUDEP in 2024! Join us on the afternoon of September 7, 2024, as families from across the Denver Metro area come together for this festive event. At sunset, we'll embark on a walk along nearby trails, each participant carrying purple lanterns to shine a light on and raise awareness about epilepsy and SUDEP. This family-friendly walk features an array of activities, including food trucks, face painting, appearances by princesses and superheroes, live music, entertainment, and a poignant dove release in remembrance of those taken too soon by epilepsy. It's a heartwarming and educational experience you won't want to miss!We will be offering virtual opportunities for those who are not in the area and wish to participate.
We will celebrate with a dove release to honor those who have left too soon. If you are walking in memory of a family member taken by epilepsy, please let us know so that we can include you in this remembrance. We have a limited number of hand releases and will be offered to families who have lost a child or loved one to epilepsy on a first-come, first-served basis.
This year, our tshirts will be long sleeved and will have glow in the dark features. Read on for an opportunity to have your team name printed on the event shirts.
For those of you setting up a fundraising team for this event, we appreciate you so much. This is the meat of this event! If your fundraising team raises $500 or more before August 15, your team name will be placed on the backs of our event tshirts. In addition, anyone raising $100 or more through their fundrausing page, will receive a large STOMP branded purple lantern. Our Top fundraiser will have a designated area to gather friends for the evening. Click on the Fundraising button in the upper right-hand corner for details to start fundraising.
