We’re postponing until Halloween for a Burnie inspired costume soirée with the art carWe were gunna do a fundraiser this weekend but don’t have the gumption to put it together. Instead we’ll just hang and make crafts and Matt’s band will play some tunes. Feel free to join at 1623 Ashby Ave in Berkeley
Hi local ohmies, this Saturday august 3rd we are going to have a crafting/bm prep day/jams at the Ashby house.
-4-6 crafts, open jams, and I will grill for you
-7pm my band Duck Duck Duck! Will play a little set
-8-10 more jamming and fire

Fiery Tales with Burnie was such a hit last summer that we’re bringing it back, but with fun new twists and surprises!
As many of you know, the mission of Burnie the Bonfire goes beyond just building a cool art car. Our team is focused on creating an inclusive environment where anyone can come learn about and participate in designing, engineering and building. In light of this mission, our fundraising event this year will have a focus on learning, creating, and of course having fun!
Limited supplies mean that we have limited space for this curated creation event. Don't miss out before the tickets sell out!

3:00-5:00 Crafting and building projects. You’ll have an opportunity to learn new skills and make four different unique items. Each creation was specifically chosen to be useful for your time at Burning Man or other events.
5:00-6:00 Dinner is served, and when you’re here, you’re family! Get ready for family style ALL YOU CAN EAT soup, salad, breadsticks, and cookies. There will be vegan options. During meal time there will be a story time, and you’ll also have the opportunity to participate in competitive summer camp games. Does anyone remember the nostalgic kabocha squash from last year? Get ready to be silly.
6:00-8:00 A dance performance will get us moving (details are a surprise), followed by live music by Manic Manifestations. Stay as long as you like and then head off to whatever other fun Saturday night events are on your schedule.
All evening we will also be hosting the infamous art auction. This year we’ll have donations from some of last year's favorite artists as well as some beautiful new additions.
Proceeds from this event go directly to supporting maintenance and upgrades for the car. Our goal is that Burnie will be in tip-top shape to take all of you on amazing adventures this burn.
Where: Ashby House- an epic venue in Berkeley. If you haven’t been here before, get ready to be delighted. This is the coolest backyard you may have ever seen with 40ft treehouses, zip lines, trampolines, and pockets of garden bliss.
