About this Event
Join members of the Potteries Heritage Society in a specially-commissioned short walking tour for a work exploring Stoke town centre on the trail of architectural ceramics, marvellous ceramic street signs, historic potbank sites and encaustic tile factories. The tour will include a visit to The Firing Line at Winkhill Mill. Led by Andy Perkin and facilitated by Danny Callaghan.
Tour departs from outside the Civic Centre, Aqueduct Street, Stoke, ST4 1HH and is scheduled to last approximately 1hr. (Please allow up to 90mins, maximum, for the tour in case of any delays).
Andy Perkin is a Heritage, Community and Enterprise Consultant and Treasurer of the . He is the Secretary of the , co-ordinates the city’s Heritage Open Days festival and has been involved in local heritage projects for over three decades.
Danny Callaghan is a creative artist working with tiles, art mosaics and architectural ceramics. He is a trustee of , which focusses on local, national and international shared stories and connections to Stoke-on-Trent’s pottery industry.
