A three day celebration of the 200th Anniversary of the Stockton and Darlington Railway (S&DR). The event tells the untold story of the Western outreaches of the S&DR of which the Stainmore and Eden Valley Routes were part. Admission is free with charges for train rides on a variety of historic locomotives and rolling stock. The final line up for the event is to be confirmed but includes the Old Gentleman's Saloon built for the S&DR and astar of the classic film 'The Railway Children'.In addition to train rides there will be free exhibitions, free classic buses to Podgill, Merrygill and Smardalegill viaducts. Catering will be available on site and there is a park and ride from the Auction Mart with priority parking for blue badge holders on site.
