Welcome to MAR Talks: Stitching Resilience: A Discussion on Palestinian Culture, Communities, & Futures with Rawan Hassan!
MAR is honoured to have Rawan Hassan share about her artistic practice, insights, and experience as a Palestinian artist and community worker.
Join us for an engaging online event where we will delve into the rich tapestry of Palestinian tatreez (traditional Palestinian embroidery), the importance of community building during adversity, and dreams of the future with the insightful Rawan Hassan. Meet Rawan Hassan روان حسن

Rawan is a Palestinian multidisciplinary artist, designer, and community worker. Her artistic practice reflects the Palestinian and Arab cultures, experiences and perspectives she grew up and continues to evolve with. She has a passion for creating sentimentality through engaging with tradition and implementing her own twists. Experimenting with traditional methods and invoking themes of Arab-Palestinian Futurism, Rawan’s practice includes tatreez, ink and charcoal drawings and poetry. Don't miss this opportunity to learn more about Palestinian tatreez, community resilience and future building!
