Join artist Pippita Bennett to make a stitched miniature landscape brooch in this textile workshop full of creativity and inspiration.
Immerse yourself in the peaceful rhythm of hand-stitching while exploring the rich textures and colours of upcycled materials. Using naturally dyed and thrifted fabric and threads, you will stitch a beautiful miniature landscape brooch. Whether you are an experienced crafter or a complete beginner, Pippita will guide you through the delights of slow stitching and a creative application of this valuable mindfulness technique.
You will learn:
methods for selecting suitable fabrics
techniques for layering and constructing your landscape
simple running stitch, French knots, blanket stitch and fly stitch
Discover a new sustainable craft while creating a unique accessory. After this workshop, you will have a beautiful piece of wearable art to keep or gift to a loved one.
Extra info: Suitable for all levels. Recommended for ages 16 and up. Morning/afternoon tea provided – tea, coffee, and biscuits.
Bring with you: All materials are provided, feel free to bring your own needles and scissors.
