About the Authors:

Jeanna Wigger is a life-long educator, creative, and textile enthusiast. Clothing repair exists at the center of these interests and has been part of her daily life since 2012. She has taught embroidery and garment repair classes, co-organized hand sewing creative groups building community through craft, and volunteered to sort donated clothing with a non-profit organization to learn more about the impact of clothing waste on the world.Jeanna is American, and currently lives in Spain with her husband on a long-term sabbatical from her career as a speech-language pathologist. She draws on her work experience in health care and education to inform her approach to teaching repair skills.

Mary Morton is a climate concerned grandma with a lifetime interest in sewing. Inspired by the global street stitching movement, she combined her passion for the environment with her sewing expertise to set up Edinburgh Street Stitchers in her home city Edinburgh (Scotland, UK).After retiring from her career as a pharmacist, Mary has found joy in introducing complete beginners to top tips like the easy way to thread a needle, how to replace a button and sew a hem; as well as tackling more complex garment repairs.
