Hello people of Scotland!! It's that time of year again... Tune Up is back!
As usual, the event will be an outdoors mixed 7v7 tournament spanning two days. An important goal of the tournament is for beginners and newcomers to have fun and socialize, whilst also getting an understanding of the game of ultimate and how our tournaments work. Equally important, Tune Up is also for current members and alumni, allowing them to come and show off their sublime skills and personalities. Needless to say, the most important thing is that everyone has a fun weekend where they get to play some great frisbee and make new friends 😉
It will be held at the Airthrey pitches up behind the University of Stirling, 9-5 on Saturday 11th October and 10-5 on Sunday 12th October.
Given the fact that it is Scotland, there may be changes in the schedule and location if the weather is terrible, but we will keep everyone updated and informed if that is the case.
We are looking at a 4:3 gender-split each line, and if it’s not possible then a 5:2 split can be accepted if both teams talk about it and agree. We also would strongly encourage to have at least 2 beginners in each line (please let us know if this is not possible).
The cost is £125 per team.
More details regarding schedules, info packs, hosting and the night out will follow in the next couple weeks.🎉
The deadline for sign up will be Monday 29th September, so please make sure you sign up all your desired teams by then.
We are hoping to be able to accommodate as many teams as possible (please indicate whether or not you require hosting in the team sign up form), but there may be limitations. Everything will be sorted and communicated well in advance though!
