Gene Wilder and Richard Pryor star in this wild comedy as two best friends who are prison for a crime they didn't commit. Skip, an out of work playwright, and his equally luckless buddy Harry, an unemployed actor, believe going West will improve their fortunes. Instead, they’re framed for a bank robbery and sentenced to a long stay in a Western prison, where these Easterners are truly fish out of water. Their attempts to make the best of the worst situation are totally outrageous, but then, so are they.
