In response to the recent flooding tragedy in the Texas Hill Country, artist and sound healer Robin Kang, together with Alexandra Smith of The Tranquility School, will offer a special Sound Bath and gallery activation for the public.
Held within the immersive setting of The Light That Grows Here—Kang’s exhibition honoring the healing spirit of native Texas plants—this event invites community members to gather for an evening of grounding, restoration, and shared presence. Through the use of sacred instruments, resonant sound vibrations, and intentional breathwork, the Sound Bath is designed to help release trauma, soothe the nervous system, and provide a space for gentle reflection in the wake of collective grief.
For your comfort, please bring a mat or blanket if you wish to lie down.
This event is a gift to the community. All are welcome to join in stillness, sound, and collective healing.
Robin Kang (Tonalmētzli) is a multimedia sound healing artist with nearly a decade of experience blending sound meditation, Reiki, and sacred practices to guide individuals and groups toward balance and healing. She is a sacred song carrier, a certified Usui & Tibetan Reiki Master, an Initiatic student of Maestro Manuel Rufino and Maestra Lila Lopez-Sanchez, a Santo Daime Fardada, and an Ollintlahuimētztli Moondancer.

Alexandra Smith is an integrative practitioner and founder of Tranquility, a school devoted to embodiment through deep listening. For more than 15 years she has woven therapeutic sound, energy medicine, and ceremony, uniting contemporary care with ancestral wisdom in her trainings and offerings. Her path includes nearly a decade of pilgrimage with the Tz’utujil Maya—studying their ceremonial way of life and cosmovision under Tata Pedro and his daughter Nana Marina—and ongoing journeys with the Yube Huni Kuin, where she learns forest traditions of reciprocity and regeneration.
