Dancenorth’s Still Dancing classes are for those who prefer taking a little more time to move. Initial exercises prepare participants thoroughly and efficiently for full and flowing movement sequences, with a diverse soundtrack spanning abstract and popular music. This class is ideal for older movers, or those seeking a gentle return to dance after illness or injury.
Experienced teachers guide participants to explore and practice a broad range of movements at their own pace, standing or seated. Sequences are designed to maintain and improve coordination, balance, memory, flexibility and strength. Over time, participants develop greater confidence, awareness and control of their movement – and expand their overall range of motion.
