S. T.I.G.M.A- Standing together in Growing Mental Health Awareness Saturday May 11th- 10AM-4pm at Ludcke Auditorium 710 Stevens Ave, Portland.Looking Ahead Clubhouse (LAC) is a mental health recovery program with a heavy focus on employment, located on Main Street in Lewiston. At LAC we have a vision of “People living with mental illnesses can achieve their potential and are respected as coworkers, neighbors and friends.”
We are hosting our first fundraiser in partnership with the University of New England’s School of Occupational Therapy, to help raise awareness and break stigma against mental health issues. The event itself is free to enter, and we will be hosting a silent auction, as well as many more events. Proceeds will be split between supporting programming at Looking Ahead Clubhouse and a scholarship fund for master’s level OT students that would like to further their knowledge and understanding of mental health.
