Mere weeks before leaving his hometown of Columbia, Missouri, to attend a junior college in Iowa on a basketball scholarship, Stephen Williams stepped off the stage at his first ever performance and decided to forgo his full ride in pursuit of a career as a recording artist.
Sacrificing the security of his collegiate path was a bold leap of faith that led to his signing with the iconic record label, Ruthless Records in 2007. Stevie’s first tour with Tech N9ne in 2009 would eventually lead to Stone's signage to Strange Music in 2011. Stevie’s intense bars married with gravelly melodies have comprised nine musical projects during his time with Strange and solidified Stone as a staple in countless nationwide tours.
In February of 2021, Stevie bet completely on himself and launched his own recording enterprise, Ahdasee Records. Ahdasee is a completely independent record label that allows Stone to continue to blaze his own path through the music industry. Even still, Stevie has yet to finish elevating his craft and brand. It may be far from the beginning for Stone, but it’s even further from the end. Himmi!
