We are having a special event honoring our friend , like family, Steve Easter. Steve was a beloved member of the St. Augustine diy music scene with his last two bands and projects being I Came From Earth and Half My Home. Disabled from birth, Steve's stature might have been small but he lived large and never let his disability impede him or define him. instead, he was bold and was a passionate artistic creative. His music appealed to many and spoke of life and love in a very raw and real way. If you've lived on Anastasia Blvd you've probably seen Steve riding his trike up and down the Blvd blaring his music and smiling like the Cheshire Cat. He lived on Anastasia Blvd for most of his time here in St. Augustine, working, assisting and performing for the DIY music scene mostly at Nobby's, Sarbez and The Pub. For his memorial show, starting at 4:30, we will be spreading his ashes starting at Nobby's, going to Sarbez, The Pub then back to Nobby's for a night of music, revelry, and kinship. The night will include a tribute to his music. All proceeds will go to honoring Steve, and his family.
