About this Event
While many know of Steve Kirsner and Friends because they are regulars at Heidi’s Jazz Club in Cocoa Beach, less is known about Steve Kirsner. Steve started entertaining at age seven when he wowed his 2nd grade class by playing “Swanee River” and he has been going strong ever since. At age 15, he started playing professionally as part of a high school ensemble, through dental school at pizza joint gigs, and later, during his military service, at the Eglin Air Force Base Officer’s Club...Steve is a Brevard treasure and a remarkable entertainer who does not read music. According to Steve, piano playing is an “automatic reflex,” and he modestly compares his innate talent to someone whistling a tune according to the right notes. — Space Coast Jazz Society
