About this Event
Stereotyping in a Digital Age
This event brings together an Author Meets Critics discussion centered on What’s Wrong with Stereotyping? by Erin Beeghly. The conversation will examine how stereotyping functions in everyday human reasoning while extending these questions into the digital humanities, where assumptions are increasingly embedded in data, algorithms, and computational systems. Through dialogue between the author and invited commentators, the event invites participants to reflect on how stereotypes are formed, reinforced, and challenged across both human and digital contexts.
