About this Event
Student’s explore composition through a wide variety of different exercises such as guided improvisation and assigned and self-selected movement studies. Students have the opportunity to create work on both themselves and their classmates and engage in productive feedback and reflection of their work as well as the work of their peers.
The dancers are guided through and responsible for picking their music, auditioning and selecting dancers for their pieces, scheduling rehearsals, selecting costumes, managing rehearsals and choosing lighting. This experience is intended for the dancers to understand what goes into the making of a dance as well as the opportunity to develope their artistic sensibilities.
