This event is hosted by artist Soso-Akalesh, known for her evocative works that blends Indigenous roots with themes like identity, expression, and cultural exploration. You are invited to come and experience her latest art piece which brings a vibrant dynamics of resilience, community, and artistic expression. This storefront window art installation, inspired by the oceanic grace and winter's serene beauty, reflects the enduring spirit of hope and freedom. This art piece is titled Steps of Hope: Freedom in Motion, demonstrates the artist passion for storytelling through art, capturing a display of colors and lights. The evening will feature local poetry, dance, music, and food to create a multi sensory experience that uplifts and connect with the community.
Event Highlights includes: Live Poets/Spoken Word, music, food, and giving, raffle, and art revealing.
As part of giving back to the community, 50% proceeds will support Dwelling Place Nonprofit organization, empowering communities through affordable housing and support services.
Back Door Entrance
Back building door entrance will have an event sign for directions to the event. There is parking, however can be limited.
You can access the parking by Wealthy st and/or Goodrich St SW. there are road parking spots available.
Doors are open 5:30pm.
Event time: 6pm-9pm
No entry FEE! Free event.
