Misery will be presented in the Savas Kostas Performing Arts Center on the Logan campus of Southern WV Community & Technical College. The show will be performed on Friday, April 4th, Saturday, April 5th, Friday, April 11th, and Saturday, April 12th at 7pm. It will also be presented on Sunday, April 6th and 13th at 3pm. Misery follows successful romance novelist Paul Sheldon, rescued from a car crash by his “number one fan,” Annie Wilkes, and wakes up captive in her secluded home. While Paul is convalescing, Annie reads his latest book and becomes enraged when she discovers the author has killed off her favorite character, Misery Chastain. Annie forces Paul to write a new Misery novel, and he quickly realizes Annie has no intention of letting him go anywhere. The irate Annie has Paul writing as if his life depended on it, and it does. This show is intended for mature audiences due to suspense, violence, and language.
