“The living face of Gypsy jazz”Since 2003, Wrembel has organized the Django á Gogo Music Festival, bringing together some of the finest musicians in the world to celebrate the Sinti (Roma) guitar style to perform in venues like Carnegie Hall. He has dazzled audiences all over the world with music that incorporates jazz, blues, classical, swing, flamenco and rock.
“I just play my own music,” he says. “I like to believe that it is beyond any one genre and that there is something in it for everyone. It’s not only for Django lovers or jazz lovers. It’s for the music lover.”
With special guest jazz pianist Jean-Michel Pilc.
