About this Event
Calling all Agave and Sotol lovers! Desert Door will be joining the Denver Spring Tequila Tasting Festival this year and we’d love to share our spirit with you. We’ll be joining 10-15 different agave and sotol distillers to take your palette on a taste tour.
Desert Door is a Premium craft distiller of a unique and authentic spirit known as Texas sotol. Our spirit is made from the evergreen sotol plant, native to West Texas and wild-harvested from Driftwood to Marfa and everywhere in between. We’ll be serving our two two staple variations, The Original Desert Door Texas Sotol and a 100-proof Desert Door Oak-Aged Sotol.
Sotol is a distant cousin to Agave and while it shares some similarities to Tequila and Mezcal in flavor, it’s a truly unique spirit unto itself that can only be explained by trying it.
