Welcome the end of winter one day after the Spring Equinox with “Step into Spring,” a new guided painting class!Using natural acrylic paints and eco-friendly paint brushes from PROCESS, local artist Alexandra Sosin will be leading you through the process of observational painting - the practice of painting from life and capturing your subject as you see it.
To spark inspiration, the class will be led with a short lesson about the symbolism behind popular houseplants. Houseplants will be provided as references, and are available to purchase from PROCESS.
Generously hosted by Bound to Happen Books in the lower level, this class will run from 2pm to 5pm on Friday, March 21st. To inspire you, help you connect with the earth, and help you look forward to spring, there will be an artist-selected assortment of books available for purchase from Bound to Happen. (Think native plants, foraging, symbolism, and more!)
No painting experience is necessary, but we do feel this class is best for teens and adults.
Tickets include an 11” x 14” canvas and all of your supplies, as well as a coupon for art supplies and plants from PROCESS General Store - as if you needed another reason to sign up!
Please come prepared with clothing that you are comfortable getting paint on (smocks and aprons are not provided).
