Uniquely adapted STEM classes increasing STEM accessibility for all designed for participants with unique needs or disabilities. Class size will be capped at 8 participants to ensure a small learning environment and individualized attention.In this hands-on and supportive STEM class, middle and high school students will explore the dynamic world of geology at a comfortable, individualized pace. Through sensory-friendly experiments and guided investigations, participants will examine different types of rocks and minerals, explore how Earthβs layers form, and observe processes like erosion, weathering, and sedimentation. Students will handle real specimens, use simple tools for analysis, and engage in activities that promote inquiry, problem-solving, and real-world understanding. With built-in visual supports, tactile materials, and flexible movement options, this class is designed to meet diverse learning needs while making geology engaging, meaningful, and empowering for every student.
