STEM YES! 2025 Summer Program | Session 2: Engineering/Technology
The DirectEmployer Institute's (DEI) Science, Technology, Engineering & Mathematics Youth Enhancement Summer Program (STEM YES!) is an intensive program consisting of two week-long sessions. It is designed for Central Indiana students from 7 -12th grade, who are keen on exploring STEM and business careers in a work-based environment.
During each session, students cultivate competencies in teamwork, business planning, presentation skills, social etiquette, soft skills, and career and college preparation. All the while, they explore and learn about the diverse fields that STEM offers through job shadows, research, product development, information technology, and much more.
What to Expect:
Collaboration with peers to acquire a deeper understanding of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM)
Session 2: Engineering/Technology
- Engage in hands-on engineering and technology activities through product development, thereby challenging and honing mechanical skills.
- Receive guidance from industry professionals to acquire the knowledge necessary to succeed in the engineering and technology sector.
- Explore the numerous fields that the rapidly expanding industry of engineering and technology has to offer through interactive workshops.
