
About this Event
SPEC is a STEM-themed Summer Camp hosted by TeamUP Science designed for students in high school. Participants can sign up for one of four weeks featuring hands-on STEM-related labs and activities with faculty staff and students.
This week's topics include Astronomy, Molecular Biology Technology, Microscopy, Genetic Engineering, Behavioural Genetics, Laser Engraving, Paleontology, and Entomology.
Age:
The event is designed for ages 13+, but we can make exceptions depending on how many participants sign up.
Times:
Participants will be at the University of Alberta campus from 9:00am to 3:30pm from Monday to Friday (Please arrive around 8:45am for check-in!).
Locations:
All locations will be at various buildings at the University of Alberta North Campus. Check-in will be in the CCIS building most days, but we'll let you know if it changes!
Food:
Food will not be provided by TeamUP Science for this event. Participants are expected to bring their own lunch or can get food from various locations on campus.
