About this Event
Bring kids to learn how they can make their own STEM-focused graphic novels! Graphic novels are a literary genre that offer an interesting pathway into STEM for kids. Many graphic novels are filled with science fiction stories highlighting different topics in science and technology. Some of these works go even further to represent real problems in our everyday lives and potential solutions.
In this workshop, we'll talk about science fiction, innovation and how these elements connect to graphic novels and the larger STEM field. Attendees will start to develop their own scietnific sensibilities, critical thinking, problem solving and innovative capabilities.
This event is excellent for youth in grades 3-8, but all children are welcome. Pre-register to let us know you're coming!
