Did you know that strawberries have 8 sets of chromosomes compared to a human’s 2 sets? In our STEM: Genetics & Traits class, kids will extract real strawberry DNA, explore how traits are passed down, and discover how animals adapt through hands-on butterfly camouflage and beak challenges.
Classes will be held at the Westfield Washington Public Library on September 3rd, 10th, and 17th from 1:00-3:00pm.
The class is for students aged 5 to 9. Check out the other available STEM options on Wednesday afternoons for this age group and make an afternoon of it!
