About this Event
The STEM Design Challenge is an engineering design competition where teams of 2-4 students work together to solve a problem using K’NEX construction and building. Additionally, students will write a Design Notebook and submit a blueprint of their project. The winning team in each grade level at the regional competition, hosted by the AIU at the Commonwealth Charter Academy in March, will be eligible to compete at the state competition held in Harrisburg in May. There is no fee to participate. Registration is limited to 3 teams per school due to event capacity.

Please note that this competition is for Allegheny County schools only. There are other Intermediate Units offering IU Competitions. Please check your IU for more information.
