The STEMLand Science Foundation will be hosting our First Annual STEM DAY! STEM Day will encourage a learning for STEM while showing children, adults and community how Science can be made fun! Science, Engineering, Technology & Math are fields that has always had a low representation of black and brown people and it’s STEMLands mission to fill that gap, starting with our youth. This event will show the community our mission to provide a STEM education to all Philly Youth while raising awareness on this issue! At this event you can expect all things STEM. Stem books, games, demonstrations, activities and more! Some tables activities will include straw rocket creation with a space to test launch your rocket, balloon blow out where children will see a chemical reaction blow up an balloon and so much more! The need for STEM in the black community HIGH and its events like this that brings awareness to community members so they can learn how to bring STEM learning inside of their own homes.
