Learn how to make a simple robotic hand. This fun STEM project will help you understand the basics of robotics and human anatomy.
The model robot hand demonstrates just how important it is for all the different parts of our hands to work together for movement. It will highlight how the bones, muscles, and tendons allow us to move each individual finger separately or together at the same time.
You don’t need any electronics to complete this project just the everyday materials.

How do you register to attend an event?
Registration for our events is through the official Eventbrite website only.
My child/ren doesn’t meet the age criteria. Can I still make a booking?
Age requirements are set based on various factors, including content and skills. Places are limited, so unfortunately bookings that don’t meet the age requirements will be cancelled so another may have the place.
My child/ren is on the waitlist. When will I find out if we can attend?
You will receive a phone call or email up to 24 hours before the event if a spot becomes available. If you don’t receive a notification from us, this means the event remains fully booked.
My child/ren is no longer able to attend. Do I have to cancel my ticket?
If you can no longer attend, please be kind and cancel your bookings online or over the phone so that another may have your space.
What happens if I’m running late to an event?
Please call the library if you’re running late to a program so we can hold your place. If we haven’t been notified of late arrival, your spot may be given to another child after 15 minutes of the event start time.
Can I leave my child/ren at the event?
School aged children under 12 years must be accompanied by an adult or carer in case of emergency or their child/ren needs assistance at any time throughout the program. Parents or carers are welcome to wait inside the library during the event.
Will photographs be taken at the event?
Yes, library staff regularly take photos of events to post on our social media accounts. If you prefer your child/ren not to be photographed, please let us know at the start of the event.
