JUST A FEW DAYS LEFT TO REGISTER! CALL THE NUMBER BELOW!
Come join staff from the National Museum of the United States Navy and National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) for a 2-day teacher workshop (August 17 and 18) based on the Treasures of NOAA's Ark and Navy exhibits. The workshop will give information on weather, tides, and other topics significant to the missions of both organizations. Lesson plans, activities, tours, and resources will also be included in this workshop. Discuss with our staff how we can better help your mission, learn more about field trips to the museum at the historic Washington Navy Yard, and tour the NOAA exhibit currently on display at the National Museum of the United States Navy.
This workshop is limited to the first 10 teachers to register from any discipline and any school in DC, Maryland, and Virginia. Teachers receive:
- a curator-led tour of the exhibition, Treasures of NOAA's Ark
- a gourmet box lunch courtesy of Office Catering, McLean, VA
- Resource materials for the classroom
- Teacher Education Credit (TEC) towards re-certification
