Stellar: Paper Folding Workshop with Rebecca Kreisler

We’ll put them together to create 3D star-shaped paper ornaments. Participants will also receive templates to make ornaments at home.

This workshop is being offered in conjunction with "A Pattern of Moments" featuring works by Kate Burke, Rebecca Kreisler, and Sylvia Schaefer on November 8, 2022. This exhibit is on view through March 4, 2023.

Using a variety of material: thread, folded paper, or quilted fabric, these three artists share a chosen color palette and a feminine sensibility. Engaged in laborious tasks, each repeating a singular process multiple times in completing their pieces, Burk, Kreisler and Schaefer negotiate the qualities of paper, thread and quilt making.
