Má všechno, co si lze tajně přát. Ideální genetické predispozice, hlas, krásu i charisma.
Českému publiku se poprvé představila na podzim roku 2024 jako support A Place To Bury Strangers v brněnském Kabinetu Múz. Po samostatné pražské premiéře na sociálních sítích volali především ortodoxní fanoušci Depeche Mode: americká hudebnice Stella Rose je totiž dcera Davida Gahana. Kromě toho je ale ve svých šestadvaceti slušně etablovanou hudební senzací. Debutové album Eyes of Glass, předznamenané singly Muddled Man a Angel, rezonovalo napříč všemi relevantními hudebními portály. Bere si na jedné straně z Nicka Cavea v jeho nejlepší “liturgické” formě, zároveň předvádí křehký folkový šarm a nabízí i jemný odkaz na temnou elektroniku, díky níž DM fungují navzdory fyzice od roku 1980 dodnes. Kromě hudby zkouší kariéru jako modelka - objevila se v kampani Celine, pro časopis Buffalo ji fotil legendární Richard Kern a byla součástí přehlídky “dark” brandu Enfants Riches Déprimés.
Průsečík ‚niche' hudební současnosti i pozoruhodného pop undergroundu.
Eternity Again
Projekt zpěvačky a songwriterky Barbory Cihak, shoegaze/indie/dreampopová kapela z Prahy, která letos v létě vydala své debutové album Prophecy. Jestliže má na české scéně sound samotné Barbory Cihak nejblíž k Black Tar Jesus nebo nejnovějšímu albu Amelie Siba, Eternity Again jsou 80s/90s nostalgie, bezbřehá radost z nekonečného vrstvení sonických mozaik, čerstvý a zároveň znepokojivý reunion kytarové hudby a její estetiky obecně. Hledej spojitosti mezi filmem Šeptej, Colorfactory a ranými The Ecstasy of St. Theresa, ale i původní entuziasmus Manon Meurt v jejich shoegaze období a pochopitelně i přiznané inspirace Cocteau Twins, Sonic Youth, My Bloody Valentine nebo Slowdive.

She has everything she could possibly have, ideal genetic predispositions, voice, looks, charisma. Stella Rose has so far presented herself to the Czech audience as support for A Place To Bury Strangers at the Brno Kabinet Múz. The Prague premiere (which orthodox Depeche Mode fans have been calling for on social media) is still waiting for her. Stella Rose is not only the daughter of DM vocalist David Gahan, but today, despite her very young age, a fairly established musical sensation. Her debut album Eyes of Glass, heralded by two well-received singles Muddled Man and Angel, resonated across respected music portals. On the one hand, she takes inspiration from Nick Cave in his best liturgical form, while at the same time she has a fragile folk charm and perhaps a slightly (un)intended reference to the dark electronics of her father's band. This will be a touch of the 'niche' musical present and a promising pop underground at the same time.
Eternity Again
A project by singer and songwriter Barbora Cihak, a shoegaze/indie/dreampop band from Prague, which released their debut album Prophecy this summer. If Barbora Cihak's sound on the Czech scene is closest to Black Tar Jesus or Amelie Siba's latest album, Eternity Again is 80s/90s nostalgia, boundless joy from the endless layering of sonic mosaics, a fresh and at the same time disturbing reunion of guitar music and its aesthetics in general. Look for connections between the film Šeptej, Colorfactory and early The Ecstasy of St. Theresa, but also the original enthusiasm of Manon Meurt in their shoegaze period and of course the admitted inspirations of Cocteau Twins, Sonic Youth, My Bloody Valentine or Slowdive.
